170 Prefilters
The 170 didn't have any prefilters in the overflows. This allowed a lot of small particles to get into the wet/dry unit. There is a box for fiber filter media in the wet/dry, but it "Loads up" too fast causing the small particles to float over the polyfiber piece allowing it to be pumped back into the tank. Next time I change it I'm going to try using the HBH carbon filter pad. This is how I made the prefilters. I have been using the HBH Phosphate filter pads on them to get rid of the algae growth I have in it.
