N-Digital Has Arrived!!
Here's
a couple pictures of the Conversion Kit & Pit Lane still in the boxes, and
4 extra Decoder chips along with the cars that arrived in the mail today.(Dec
4). Let the games begin! Now I've got some layout work to do. I'll be getting
more Lane Change tracks in the next couple days.
Somebody asked how big the Decoder chip was. It's 1"x11/16"
Fits nice in the cockpit of a Scalex stockcar.
The
decoder chip is pretty simple to install. It comes with 4 plastic pegs and 2 double
sided tape squares. For cars that aren't Ninco you cut the wires between the motor
and the pickups. You strip the wires and put one end in the holes in the decoder
chip like the instructions say then just push a peg in to hold it.
The Ninco Mosler. It was pretty simple as advertised. I didn't like the fit of the metal pegs from the motor into the decoder chip though. They seemed way too loose. Like a couple rolls of the car would dislodge them. I just cut the metal tips off and used the plastic pegs. I may solder them in the future First I'll have to get a new soldering iron when I go to Radio Shack today. My old one works good but it doesn't have a fine tip. I did an SCX Harvick stocker while I was down cellar too. It's 4:30 in the morning now by the way! LOL. Yes, I do have to go to my volunteer job this morning. Sometimes having something to do when I get woke up with those Nam nightmares is a good thing. Now I can get a couple more hours sleep.
