Getting back into the Scenery

I just picked up a Woodland Scenics "Heat Tool" to use for forming their "Ready Grass" Vinyl Grass mats. It's so much better than a heat gun. It fits in my hand just right, also comes with a heat resistant glove to help form the grass mat. I'm filling in all the spaces that didn't have grass mat. It's hard to see but there is a small knoll(test piece)just beyond the glove in the picture or in front of the inside of the lap counter.

I'm expecting 2 new grandstands so I figure it's time to spray my figures with their "Flesh" base coat. I'll do the rest of the painting at my volunteer job during the week.

The Grandstands came in today (Monday). I expect packages just about everyday this week. I've got 22 more cars coming and I picked up an SCX Rally set for $35 on EBAY and it came with a new set of pit crew guys too! I didn't want all my grandstands to look the same so I figured Red, White and Blue would work... I also painted the benches

I had to slide the grass mat down to fill in the gap. The 2 new Grandstands are going next to the old one.

I didn't care for the stickers they gave me with the grandstand. I've printed up a bunch that Geezer put in the Slot Car Illustrated forums. Thank you Geezer!! They didn't come with the USA's Stars and Bars but I know they have all kinds of US Flag stickers at Michael's Crafts Store. The center flag poles are empty and waiting. I'm going to turn that pit building into a concession stand. Also buying some sheet styrene and "I" beams and making a Rest Room....

There have been a couple changes made. I took the Snow Curve out for faster single lane racing now that I have the DS200 Electronic Lap Counter/Timer
