Landscaping & Expanding
On the far end, I'll be moving my RC workbench to the other side of the cellar giving me room to go with another 4'x8' sheet of plywood with some "Road Course" type running on it. It will come off right where that far straight is(it may be replaced with a lane change track)and come back in the same place joining the Main track just before "Pit Lane". There will be a Lane change track in the way back in the straight approaching the pit lane. If you don't get in it or decide soon enough, you could be in trouble! The close end of the track will be extended 4'x 10'. I'll probably put some kind of curves on the right as we look at it and of course the left is the Main straightaway.

The Main Straight is going to be elevated like some of the roads you see in Europe. I've already ordered enough "Woodland Scenics" Cut Stone Retaining Wall sections to do 8' in 3" pieces. They come 5&3/4 " tall and I'm going to have to cut them down a little. I plan on having the top, finished
part of the wall sticking up above the track like a curb. It will be open where the pits will be under it and gradually come down to ground level
through the far turn, which will be hillside. The outside of the track will be landscaped plaster cloth mountainside with 1" tall aluminum retaining wall built in. This part of the landscaping can all be done while I'm waiting for the N-Digital to come out.

The Retaining Walls need to be cut to height, sanded smooth on the edges for a good fit then airbrushed the color I want them and "washed" with a thinned paint mixture to bring out the texture and shadows.

I added a loop to put some interest in the layout for now. The yellow section marks the 47" the pit lane will take. A loop like this might end up on the 4'x10' Extension on the close end opposite the Main straight.
