This is a letter I sent to Hobby Services of Duratrax about my disappointment in the Warhead. This was before I took it out for the last run when the reverse went again. I had come to the point where I was afraid to run it becasu I couldn't take anymore disappointment in the worst $400 I've ever spent.
For Hobby Services
Here
is a picture of the Warhead box and the boxes of the 3 other trucks I've bought
since the Warhead. After rereading this post of December 3rd, the day after I
got my Warhead, I realize now how much my bubble got burst,"I
got one yesterday. As soon as it stops snowing I'll start breaking it in. (maybe
should have gotten one of those snowmobiles at Walmart! LOL) My RC store guy put
the box in front of me and I checked it out. I went home and looked it up online.
It seemed to have a lot of good ideas so I went back and got it. I like that all
my TRAXXAS wheel and tire set-ups will fit on it as well as bodies. It'll be interesting
to see how it compares to my other trucks. I don't know if the ability to lower
the ride height will make it comparable to the REVO for handling, but we'll see.
The powerplant is rated at 2.5HP, but I have a PICCO 2.4HP in one of my TMAXXes,
should be challenge head to head. It's going to be fun anyway and for only $400
if it does 3/4 of what I expect it to do I think it's a good deal !! If nothing
else now when company comes and my sons are over we can run 8 nitro trucks down
at the sand pits! "
Here is also a picture
of my Warhead sitting in the corner of my kitchen floor by the back door where
it has been for over 2 months.
I'm sorry, I can't find the sales
slip from December, but you can call Barn Speed Hobbies in Lee Mass and ask Joe
the owner if Bill Plude bought a Warhead there. His # is 1-800-499-2651.
Also I don't think the Futaba 3FR transmitter will work. It doesn't
look like the right kind of radio. Does this also mean the
receiver that I have is good because when I changed radios I had to change both
receiver and transmitter.
